This is a way of attempting to match a parent interested in one-on-one
support with a supporting parent who has a child with a similar developmental
delay, disability, or chronic illness. The goal is to provide emotional
and informational support to parents by giving them opportunities to talk,
one on one, with another parent who has "been there."
Collin County Parent Support Group:

Our Parent Support Group meets in Frisco on the first and third Monday
of each month (unless otherwise stated in the monthly newsletter). We meet
at the Stonebriar Community Church, 4801 Legendary Drive, Frisco, TX from
10:30-11:30am. Childcare
is provided for enrolled children and their siblings. The group structure
is informal, consisting of parents and an ECI facilitator. The group members
determine discussion topics. The atmosphere is friendly.

Collin County Autism Society: meets
the first Tuesday of the month at St. Andrew United Methodist Church located

Mom's Club of Firsco: meets the
first Friday of the month at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church on Hummingbird

The MOMS Club of Plano-North Chapter is a non-profit organization specifically designed to support stay-at-home-Mothers (or part-time working Mothers). We offer programs such as weekly age appropriate playgroups, weekly Mom and kid activities, park play days, community projects, Craft Projects for Kids Cooking Club, Moms Night Out and more. Children are welcome at all activities (except Moms Night Out).
If you are interested in learning more about our chapter, please join us at our Monthly Social Meeting held the first Wednesday of the month at 10:00am at the Baha'i Faith Plano Center at 4200 Hedgcoxe Road (just West of Coit Road).

Mom's Night Out: for mothers of
children with special needs meets on the second Tuesday of each month at

Community outreach program for mom's and their
children: Moms come together and enjoy food, fun and fellowship.
They meet twice a month from 9am - 12 noon at the First Baptist church

22q in Texas: is a new support group

Family-to-Family: is an organization
for parents of children with special needs. The Collin County group meets
on the third Thursday of each month at Christ Episcopal Church, 4550 Legacy

meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the Medical Center
